About Me

I have lived in the Chicago area my entire life and can’t imaging a better place to live!  I was born in Chicago and spent the first 14 years of my life in the West Town neighborhood and was fortunate to attend Walt Disney Magnet school.  After acceptance into Lane Technical High School my family relocated to Schiller Park where I lived for the following 12 years before moving to Schaumburg.  In 1999 I purchased my first home in Lake in the Hills and have not left this area since!  I am a mom to 4 beautiful children, all attend D300 schools which has been a fabulous experiece!  I am a full time Realtor licensed since 1994 and am extremely passionate about representing my clients.  I love what I do!  I have experienced every type of market over the years and each has its benefits and challenges.  I strive to give back to my community. I have co-lead two Girl Scout troops, am the Advancement Coordinator for local Boy Scout Troop 368 where my oldest son earned his Eagle Scout.

Tammy Mrotek of RE/MAX Unlimited Northwest Appears in Chicago Magazine as a Five Star Real Estate Agent

Tammy Mrotek awarded for professional excellence and exceptional client satisfaction.

“This award truly means the world to me. When clients take the time to do something nice for me, that speaks volumes and is the greatest compliment in this industry. I strive hard to make sure every one of my clients I have the privilege to represent has value added due to my experience, education and commitment to their best interest,” says Tammy Mrotek of RE/MAX Unlimited Northwest.

Five Star Professional partnered with Chicago magazine to identify and showcase an exclusive group of real estate agents who have demonstrated excellence in their field. Less than 3 percent of agents in the Chicago area received this recognition.

The Five Star Real Estate Agent award winners have been carefully selected for their commitment to professional excellence and overall client satisfaction. The award is based on rigorous research with significant focus on customer feedback and providing quality services.

“I became fascinated with homeownership at a very early age, around seven years old. Growing up in a poor, inner-city Chicago neighborhood, most everyone rented their places to live, including my very young mother. Having a backyard that was not just cement, but an actual lawn to play on was a big deal. If someone owned their home, they were considered well off. I would see real estate signs in front of homes and could not understand why my mother could not just go and buy a nice house for us to live in. The realities of economics took over as I became older, but my desire to help families achieve homeownership is instilled in my very soul. I truly love this profession!” says Tammy.
